Hi I’m Jamie the owner of DRT Carpentry and Construction.
With over twenty years carpentry experience I’ve worked on projects of all scales from bespoke custom built carpentry installations through to structural alterations and property renovation. As such I’m able to offer guidance and expertise on any carpentry requirement a client may have and prioritise communication to fully understand the client’s ideas and achieve the desired outcome.
Over the years I’ve developed strong relationships with other trusted tradespeople which allows a seamless service for clients who are undertaking larger projects and require a more comprehensive building service.
I understand every project takes place in someone’s home so all our work is carried out in as considerate and unobtrusive a manner as possible.
The goal is simple, delivery of professional craftsmanship clients will be happy to recommend.

Work completed: Construction of log cabins
Reading other reviews, my expectations were already high, however Jamie's work still surpassed these. His workmanship was outstanding. In advance of starting the work he conducted his own research into the product (two Dunster house cabins) and throughout he made a number of corrections/enhancements that he had spotted which would have impacted the quality of the build. (For example, he corrected warped wood that they had supplied.) His eye for detail is second to none and he will keep working until something is absolutely perfect. We will definitely be inviting him back for other projects and I am very happy to recommend him to others.

Amazing job. Jamie constantly checked and worked with me along the project to ensure it was how I wanted it. He was clean and tidy which made the clean up after much easier. I honestly love my cupboards and built in wardrobe.

Work completed: Fitted wardrobes and cupboards
Jamie was first class from start to finish. I could not recommend him more highly! We had a lot of work done (kitchen shelving, storage cupboard shelving and two bespoke large wardrobes) he interpreted my ideas perfectly and the finished product is amazing, we are so so pleased!! He was always on time, he always explained what he was doing and where he was going so no confusion at all he was polite and extremely trustworthy; all the qualities you need in a builder!! Would use again.
